Description

The Werefolk of Solstheria are not "born" like the rest of us. They worship the ebb and flow of the universe's energy, and their shamans are known to "talk" to the Stars. Through a ceremony that happens once every thirty years, loving couples are chosen to nurse a child, or more than one, if the universe so declares. The parents receive a soul encased in pure life force, and with time and care, the life force will become tangible, and form a body.

However...

Sometimes there isn't enough life force to encase the soul. And it wears away. The exposed soul soon dies from a lack of protection and energy. In short, the beating soul withers away in its parents arms.

Because of this, a miscarriage is all the more heartbreaking.
